Dr. Jan Alam is an experienced and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist and Certified Psychotherapist with a strong passion for mental health care, especially in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of psychiatric disorders and drug addiction cases.

He has served in several prestigious institutions including Government Psychiatry Hospital Gilgit, Provincial Headquarters (PHQ) Hospital Gilgit, Central Jail Gilgit, and Multi Care Medical Center Gilgit. During his career, he has treated thousands of psychiatric patients and provided psychotherapy sessions to drug-dependent individuals, helping them recover and improve their quality of life. He has also trained over 300 graduates in psychology and behavioral sciences.

He holds an MBBS degree along with FCPS (Psychiatry) and multiple postgraduate diplomas in Community Health & Nutrition, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Health Planning and Management, Dermatology, Homeopathic Medicine, and Neurology. He has also completed several national and international certifications in mental health, ethics, nutrition in emergencies, and advanced psychiatry.
